Mirjam Frank’s convincing performances of the recitative and aria of Svatava from Part II of the oratorio ‘Saint Ludmila’ and the complete ‘Biblical Songs’ stand firmly as a testament to Dvořák’s genius as a composer of vocal literature.

After my successful upgrade to PhD level at the end of May, I’ve submitted a chapter for publication, and am now preparing a wonderful repertoire of Bach, Brahms, Vivaldi and more for my participation in the Oxenfoord Summer School later this month! I will be working with many distinguished musicians, incuding pianist Malcolm Martineau, with whom I will be studying Vier ernste Gesänge by Johannes Brahms. ~MF 07/17
